Ex-Holy Sepulcher school secretary charged in theft

A former school secretary and bookkeeper was arraigned today on charges she stole more than $250,000 from Holy Sepulcher School after allegedly telling investigators she got “carried away” spending tuition money on clothes and jewels.
Online court records show 43-year-old Lynn Tomlinson of Valencia faces a preliminary hearing March 27 on charges of theft and records tampering.
Those records don’t list an attorney for Tomlinson who does not have a listed telephone.
According to the diocese, a forensic audit showed at least $250,000 was missing from the school in Middlesex Township in the six years before Tomlinson allegedly confessed last May that she stole the money.
The Rev. John Gizler, the pastor of the parish that runs the school, says, “While we most assuredly extend forgiveness, we all know that justice must be served as well.”
