Every week, The Cranberry Eagle will spotlight a local educator, providing a glimpse into what makes them tick.

QUESTION: Why did you become a teacher?
ANSWER: I wanted to do something that would make me feel like I was making a difference. Teaching does that for me.
QUESTION: What is one sentence that sums up what you believe is the key to teaching?
ANSWER: I believe that if you let your students know that you genuinely care about them, the learning will take care of itself.
QUESTION: When you’re not teaching, you most likely can be found doing what?
ANSWER: I am most likely outdoors. I love being outside no matter what the weather is like or what season it is. I enjoy gardening, hiking, biking and kayaking.
QUESTION: What is one thing about you that likely would surprise your students?
ANSWER: I have an artistic side. I love woodworking, painting, sketching, and playing the guitar.
