Film shows gun need

Since the tragic events in December at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, Butler Eagle readers have had to endure a virtual tug-of-war between pro- and anti-gun factions. We have been inundated with the ramblings of self-proclaimed constitutional scholars. One writer at length interpreted the “well-regulated militia” phrase, while another has determined that we have no right to a home arsenal. Let me boil all the arguments down to why we have a Second Amendment. I saw a movie — “Schindler’s List” — a few years ago where the only one who had guns was the government. Enough said.
