Rather than selfishly thinking about how wonderful Heaven will be when they die, people should think about all the good things they can do for people while they’re alive. People’s lives will be enriched if they forget about the supernatural and, instead, concentrate on facts and on making other people’s lives — and their own lives — a little more pleasant. The responsibility for making a positive change in our world lies within us and not in a supernatural force or deity. There’s an old saying that life is a series of minor victories on the road to ultimate defeat. People only live once, so they should make the most of it.
