Lassinger, Lattus

Katie and Gene Lattus

Katie Lassinger, formerly of Saxonburg, and Gene Lattus Jr., formerly of Natrona Heights, were united in marriage Sept. 22 at Heinz Memorial Chapel in Pittsburgh. The Rev. David Anderson officiated. A reception followed at the Laube Hall in Freeport.

The bride is the daughter of Terry and Susan Lassinger of Willis, Texas. Parents of the bridegroom are Gene and Mary Lattus of Natrona Heights.

The honor attendants were Brittney Lassinger of Willis and Cortney Shipley of Chicora. Bridesmaids included Julie Hook and Rosemary Lattus, both of Natrona Heights, Tricia Spohn of Butler and Brooke Lindell of Pittsburgh.

The flower girl was Emmerson Lookabill of Vienna, Va.

Performing the duties of best man was Adam Lattus of Natrona Heights. Ushers included Chad Rapp of Pittsburgh, Adam Jonczak of Natrona Heights, Chad Lassinger of Willis, Greg Lattus of Herndon, Va., and Jake Lattus of Oakton, Va.

The ring bearers were Luke and Logan Lattus of Natrona Heights.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.

She is employed as a dental hygienist.

The bridegroom graduated from Highlands High School in 1998 and Gannon University in 2002.

He is an officer in the U.S. Navy.

The couple is making their home in San Diego and will be taking a honeymoon trip to Tahiti in March.
