If we are going to have any kind of rational discussion about gun control or gun safety, we need some responsible party (perhaps the Butler Eagle) to affirm that no one in the discussion has proposed or advocated the taking of anyone’s firearms. There are no black helicopters; President Barack Obama never has said anything about confiscating guns. Can anyone name any individual or group that ever has made such a proposal? So, let’s all take a deep breath, work hard to separate reliable information from myths and rumors, and get ready for a lively debate on this very important and divisive issue.
