Butler is caring place

Butler is blessed to have so many excellent care facilities. The family of Bertha C. Hemphill would like to express our appreciation to those who cared for her.

First, we thank the YWCA Personal Care Home for making our mother’s last year of life one of quality and enjoyment. She would say, “I am content here.”

Our mother became critically ill and was admitted to Butler Memorial Hospital on Jan. 1. We found the care and caring there to be exceptional. Her physicians listened to our concerns and spent much time communicating with us regarding her condition and treatment options.

A special thanks to all the 6 Main staff — nurses, aides, respiratory therapists and anyone else who cared for her. The unit’s cleanliness and the professionalism of the staff were exceptional.

We also are appreciative of the Benbrook Visiting Nurses Association Hospice for providing a warm, caring environment for our mother’s last day.

The Chris Hile Funeral Home in Chicora gave our loved one all the dignity and respect she deserved.

Truly, Butler is a caring place.
