Cold blast to hit Butler County

The National Weather Services warns that Tuesday and Wednesday will be bitterly cold in Butler County with occasional light snow showers.
A wind chill advisory is in effect for those two days. The wind will drive temperatures down to minus 15 or minus 20 degrees Tuesday morning, said Bob Davis, senior weather forecaster., this morning
“There could be a lot of two-hour delays Tuesday for kids going back to school,” Davis said.
Temperatures are expected to begin falling tonight, reaching single digits after midnight with the coldest hour at daybreak, he said.
It will be below zero throughout the day Tuesday, he said.
“We didn’t get temperatures below zero last winter,” Davis said. “This is as cold as it’s been for a couple of years.”
Low temperatures and wind also are forecast for Tuesday night, but temperatures are expected to rise Wednesday, perhaps reaching 15 degrees.
Winds will range from 10 to 30 mph for the next two days, he said.
Wind chill advisories are in effect whenever temperatures drop below 0 degrees, he said.
