In spite of the fact that John Davis researched past presidential vacations (“No Bush complaints,” Jan. 7), I truly believe President Barack Obama has surpassed all.

His recent Christmas vacation in Hawaii cost about $7 million, which is astounding.

I believe that astronomical figure was in part due to two trips to and from Hawaii.

The second trip to and from could have been avoided if he had given due diligence to his work before he went on vacation.
