‘Cupboard’ thankful

I would be remiss if I did not thank the Slippery Rock area community, including Harrisville and Forestville, for the generous support of the Feed My Sheep Food Cupboard. We are grateful to the many area churches, organizations and individuals that support us throughout the year. Meanwhile, holiday season food drives held by Slippery Rock School District students were really great.
The “Greeks” and other students of Slippery Rock University overwhelm us with their generosity, just when supplies are getting low in the spring.
Giant Eagle of Slippery Rock is our generous benefactor with donations of meat, canned goods, turkeys and baked goods.
Without all the contributors, large and small, regular and seasonal, we could not support the 250 families in our community who need help.
Some families need help every month due to insufficient income, and some families need help occasionally when a job is lost or an emergency occurs, but our volunteers are happy to have the resources to be able to help when it is needed.
We could not give this support were it not for the generosity of the Slippery Rock Community.
