Children in fatal crash identified

CONNOQUENESSING TWP — A sudden onset of ice on the roads is believed to have caused a one-vehicle accident this morning that took the life of two young boys.
Investigators with the state police say 32-year-old Elisabeth McCullough of Harmony was driving west on Lower Harmony Road when she encountered a road covered in ice.
Her vehicle, a 2004 Dodge Durango, slid, then partially rolled and hit a tree.
At the time, McCullough’s sons — Declan McCullough, who would have turned 1 Friday, and Liam Bintrim, 3, — were properly secured in child safety seats in the vehicle’s middle row. Police believe they died instantly.
