Kemp, Dickey

Nichole and Derek Dickey

Nichole Kemp of Allison Park and Derek Dickey of Slippery Rock were united in marriage July 28 at St. Catherine of Sweden Roman Catholic Church in Wildwood. Deacon Cliff Homer officiated. A reception followed at the The Chadwick.

The bride is the daughter of Paul and Antoinette Kemp of Allison Park. Parents of the bridegroom are Mark and Debra Dickey of Slippery Rock.

The honor attendant was Jacquilyn Dublin of Slippery Rock. Bridesmaids included Melissa Kemp of Allison Park, Lauren O’Keefe of Pittsburgh, Nicole Fiore of Erie, Shalene Dickey of Butler and Katie Shuty of Slippery Rock.

Performing the duties of best man was Dakota Dickey of Butler. Ushers included Brian Magerko of Prospect, Donte Tiani of Butler, William Dillon of Butler, Joshua Shields of Plain Grove and Kristofer Wisniewski of Latrobe.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Hampton High School and a 2008 graduate of Slippery Rock University with her bachelor’s degree in special education and elementary education.

She is attending Slippery Rock University for her master’s degree and is employed by the Wilmington School District in New Wilmington.

The bridegroom graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 2003, Slippery Rock University in 2007 with his bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice and Allegheny County Police Academy in 2010.

He is employed by the Slippery Rock Borough and Iron Mountain in Boyers.

Following a honeymoon trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple is making their home in Slippery Rock.
