Butler County's great daily newspaper

No Bush complaints

I checked the Butler Eagle archives to see if Rosemarie Badali (“Obama record pathetic,” Jan. 1 letters to the editor) had complained about the 1,020 vacation days taken by George W. Bush when he was president — more than one-third of his eight years in office.

However, I found nothing.

Franklin D. Roosevelt posted the second-most vacation days (948) during his 12 years in office.

In 2005, George W. Bush also marked the longest vacation of five weeks that ended when Hurricane Katrina hit.

Richard Nixon had held the record for the longest vacation for 36 years.
