Angels are out there

The other day, one of those last hectic days before Christmas when there’s so much to do, I got a flat tire on the way to the store.
As I continued slowly on my way trying to think “what do I do now?” some angels were watching over me and followed me until I stopped, trying to get my cellphone to work.
A wonderful man named Allan appeared at my door offering to help. And, despite the bitter cold and with no gloves, he changed my tire.
“Val” stood nearby and offered the use of her cellphone so I could notify my family, and the warmth of their truck.
Then when Allan finished, he refused to take any money for his unexpected help. I don’t even know where they came from, but they made my day.
I’ll be ever grateful, hoping somehow I can return the gift somehow to another person in need.
