Help, efforts praised

On Nov. 28, our family lost its beloved Lola, a happy, playful, three-year-old German Shorthair Pointer and Lab mix.
She unexpectedly bolted from our yard and lost her life while attempting to escape traffic.
We found some comfort in our deep feelings of loss for our family pet — a watchful, caring playmate to our five-year-old son — from friends and compassionate strangers who did all they could to help us find Lola and try to save her.
We want to thank all those who helped us, including several individuals, couples and families, as well as the Butler County Humane Society. We want to send them our most heartfelt feelings of thanks for all they did out of the goodness of their hearts.
