Cranberry man sues social network site

PITTSBURGH — A Cranberry Township man has sued a popular social networking site in federal court after discovering his unauthorized personal information on display.

Rick D. Senft found his name, cell phone number and e-mail address on LinkedIn, a site primarily used for job and business networking.

Senft, who is president and chief executive officer of the Passavant Memorial Home Foundation, sued the company after it denied his request to reveal who set up the unauthorized account.

The company has already taken down the disputed page, although it still refuses to name who set up the account.

The suit was filed Thursday. Court documents were not available this morning.
