ADAMS TWP — A new leader with 25 years of experience in human services will take the helm at MHY Family Services.

Lisa M. Schiller will begin her position as executive director on Jan. 28. She replaces Martin Harris, who was executive director at MHY Family Services for five years before accepting a position at an organization in California.

Schiller's career has been spent providing services for youths. Most recently, Schiller was vice president of operations at Lutheran Services in America's operation in Baltimore.

“What inspired me about this role was the deep commitment of the staff, the board of directors and the board of trustees, as well as the rich history of the organization,” Shiller said.

Formerly known as the Mars Home for Youth, MHY Family Services serves youth who are at risk of abuse or neglect, have been abused or neglected, who have serious emotional, mental or behavioral disturbances, and who may be involved in the juvenile justice system.
