Hoang, Pyewell
Vy Hoang and Dan Pyewell, both of Houston, were united in marriage Oct. 12 at the Bell Tower in Houston. A reception followed at the Bell Tower.
The bride is the daughter of Nga Nguyen and Chau Hoang of Katy, Texas. Parents of the bridegroom are Barbara Pyewell of Butler and the late Richard Pyewell.
The attending family was Barbara Pyewell and Peter Browarny of Butler and Allison, Josh, Seth, Sydney and Travis Nichols of Gibsonia.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Mayde Creek High School. She is a global project manager for GE Oil and Gas in Houston.
The bridegroom graduated from Butler High School in 1997, and Penn State University The Behrend College in 2002 with a degree in mechanical engineering technology.
He earned his professional engineering certificate in 2012 through Rice University in Houston.
He is a project estimator for cryogenic systems with CB & I in Houston.
Following a honeymoon trip to Bora Bora and Tahiti, the couple is making their home in Houston.
