Symphony extends Young Artist date

The Butler County Symphony Association has extended the deadline for the 34th annual Young Artist Competition to Jan. 7.
The competition will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 20 in Swope Hall at Slippery Rock University.
The winner will receive $400 and will perform with the Butler County Symphony Orchestra on March 9.
This competition is open to any graduate of a high school within a 25-mile radius of Butler, or any musician currently attending Allegheny, Geneva, Grove City, Thiel or Westminster colleges or Clarion, Indiana (Pa.) or Slippery Rock universities. The age limit is 25.
