Shannon, Pickles

David and Joyce Pickles

Joyce Shannon and David Pickles, both of Philadelphia, were united in marriage June 30 at The Betsy Ross House in Philadelphia. The Rev. Bruce Shannon officiated. A reception followed at The Trust.

The bride is the daughter of Don and Mary Shannon of Chicora. Parents of the bridegroom are Albert Pickles III of Norristown and the late Joanne Discianni Pickles.

The honor attendant was Gretchen Gyrich of Pittsburgh. Bridesmaids included Lindsey Kelley of Pittsburgh, Lisa Pickles of Philadelphia, Jenel Davis of Charlotte, N.C., and Allison Mawhinney of St. Petersburg, Fla.

The flower girl was Ashley Pickles of Skippack.

Performing the duties of best man was Ryan Nyce of Eagleville. Ushers included Albert Pickles IV of Skippack, George Shannon of Greensburg, Michael Sweeney of Wayne and Brant Kercher of Philadelphia.

The ring bearer was Albert Pickles V of Skippack

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Karns City High School and a 2007 graduate of Floridia State School of Law.

She is employed by Nelson Levine de Luca and Hamilton in Blue Bell.

The bridegroom graduated from Methacton High School in 1997 and attended Indiana (Pa.) University.

He is employed by Auto Trader in Exton.

Following a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple is making their home in Philadelphia.
