Danielle and Thomas Doheny

Danielle Hillwig and Thomas Doheny, both of Washington, D.C., were united in marriage Aug. 18 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Gillespie officiated. A reception followed at the Butler Grand Ballroom.

The bride is the daughter of Bud and Shirley Hillwig of Chicora. Mother of the bridegroom is Mary Kathryn Doheny of Wilmington, Del.

The honor attendant was Erica Hillwig of Chicora. Bridesmaids included Kasey Olcus of East Brady and Patricia Doheny and Kathryn Doheny, both of Wilmington.

Performing the duties of best man was Ryan Doheny of Wilmington. Ushers included John Hundley of Richmond, Va., Coalter Baker of Houston, Texas, Matthew Moran of Fairfax, Va., and Christopher Love of Washington, D.C.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Karns City High School and a 2010 graduate of Thiel College.

She works as a legislative assistant for Congresswoman Sandy Adams in Washington, D.C.

The bridegroom graduated from Georgetown Preparatory School in 2003 and Hampden-Syndey College in 2007.

He works as a press secretary for Congresswoman Renee Ellmers in Washington, D.C.

Following a honeymoon trip to Disney World, the couple is residing in Washington, D.C.
