Minor accident in city does not delay traffic

A minor traffic accident in downtown Butler did not cause any traffic tie ups.
The truck driver was driving west on Wayne Street after the light at the intersection of Wayne and Main Street turned green at around 8 a.m. At the same time, a person driving an SUV south on Main Street ran a red light and hit the truck, causing the truck to hit a pole on West Wayne Street.
No injuries were reported and the pole was not knocked down. The truck, which sustained damage to the front and rear end of the passenger side, had to be towed from the scene.
City police and city firefighters responded to the accident. The scene was cleared at 8:45 a.m.
