Health cost doubled

My co-workers and I are employees of a local company. We recently got notice that our health care premiums were going up — more than double.
Coverage for my wife and me went from $194 a month to $412 a month, or $4,944 a year. Family coverage is even more: $514 per month, or $6,168 a year.
That doesn’t include the $4,000 per-person, per-year deductible.
Then, to add insult to injury, I read in the Butler Eagle that our school taxes might be going up again.
I’m pretty sure teachers’ and administrators’ health care coverage is heavily subsidized by the taxpayers and that they pay only a fraction of what I pay.
No American citizen should be bankrupted by health care.
