Local $1 million Powerball winner comes forward

Lori Grebeck was ecstatic two weeks ago when she won $50 on scratch-off lottery tickets.
So imagine her reaction Thursday when she realized one of the Powerball tickets she purchased with her scratch-off earnings was a $1 million winner.
“My whole body started shaking. Then I started crying, and I ran to the bathroom,” said Grebeck, 41, of Saxonburg.
Grebeck said she kept checking and rechecking the winning numbers against her card, then she drove home from work and asked her boyfriend to check the numbers again.
“I just couldn’t comprehend they matched,” she said. “I mean, I always dreamed of winning like a $1,000 or maybe $50,000. Nothing like this ever happens to me.”
As of this morning, lottery officials say they have not verified a winning claim.
