Help horses effort
Glenda CoughenourCenter Township
I am involved with Equine Angels Rescue, a front-page article about which appeared in the Nov. 2 edition of the Butler Eagle. The director of the rescue is beyond dedication to these horses and others that are being neglected, either intentionally or because of the cost of hay and feed. The calls that are received are heartbreaking, knowing the remaining space available and the amount of money available to properly feed the animals. Equine Angels also will list animals that an owner no longer can care for, so hopefully the animals can get a new home. Equine Angels Rescue needs the help of the community to help the horses in its care. I’m happy to say there was a large turnout for its third annual fundraiser Nov. 11 at the Cabot American Legion. Donations also can be made by way of the Web site www.equine-angelsrescue.com.
