Selection path wrong

I agree with Butler County Commissioner Jim Eckstein that not only would an open selection proc-ess in search of Bill O’Donnell’s replacement be a better road to take to fill the chief clerk/director of administration position, but also this formal candidate search for a person from the outside just might give county residents a glimmer of hope that the “good old boys” days are waning.

Having read the article about Amy Wilson’s experience, education and qualifications, I’m certain she will do a great job if the commissioners proceed with their plan to hire her to replace O’Donnell.

This is not Wilson’s doing. It is Commissioners Dale Pinkerton and William McCarrier who should take ownership for this job-selection process.
