Julie Baptiste and Mitchell Plunkard, both of Erie, were united in marriage Aug. 4 at the White Barn in Prospect. The Rev. Bruce Geary officiated. A reception followed at the White Barn. The bride is the daughter of Terry and Joanne Baptiste of Fenelton. Parents of the bridegroom are David and Alma Plunkard of Parker. The honor attendant was Jennifer Christie of Fenelton. Bridesmaids included Amy Hunter of West Middlesex, Amanda Schroat of Erie, Ashley Ferraro of Karns City and Jenna Walker of Parker. The flower girl was Taylor Hunter of West Middlesex. Performing the duties of best man was David Plunkard of Butler. Ushers included Nathaniel Slaugenhoup of North Carolina, Jeremy Slaugenhoup of St. Petersburg, William Eiler of Kaylor and Richard Long of Kennerdell. The ring bearer was Tucker Walker of Parker. The bride is a 2005 graduate of Karns City High School and a 2009 graduate of Edinboro University. The bridegroom graduated from Karns City High School in 2003 and Fortis Institute in 2012.
