• Picture makeup day will be held at the middle school.

• The Office of Special & Gifted Education will offer a Parent Training Workshop from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the middle school library. Topic will be “Support Your Child at Home; Like We Do in School.” For more information, call 724-898-1561.


• Picture makeup day for students will be held at the Centennial School.


• The Centennial School will hold its annual Fall Festival Parties from 1 to 2 p.m. for fifth-graders and from 2 to 3 p.m. for sixth-graders.

Oct. 29

• The high school Student Council will hold its annual Trick-or-Treat from 5 to 6 p.m. The event, which is open to district children up to and including third grade, will offer visitors a chance to trick-or-treat in the halls of the high school. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Members of the high School's clubs, sports teams and other organizations will be handing out candy. A costume contest will be held every 20 minutes in the cafeteria, where cookies and refreshments will be served. For information, call 724-625-1581.

• The primary center will hold its annual Fall Festival Parties from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. for morning kindergartners and from 2 to 3 p.m. for afternoon kindergartners and first-graders.
