Wilson tabbed for chief clerk position

Amy Wilson, administrative assistant to Butler County Commissioner Dale Pinkerton, has been pegged to replace Bill O’Donnell as the county’s chief clerk/director of administration.
Although she hadn’t been appointed as of the commissioners meeting Wednesday, Pinkerton and Commissioner Bill McCarrier said they intend to name her to the post.
Commissioner Jim Eckstein opposes the choice, saying the job should have been opened up to other candidates.
McCarrier expects Wilson to start in her new job after O’Donnell retires Nov. 2.
