Drug dealer sentenced to 27½ years in prison

A twice-convicted drug dealer who conducted some of his sales in a school zone and exposed his own 15-year-old son to drug trade will serve up to 27½ years in prison.

Jason Gordon, 37, of Mercer County was sentenced today in Butler County Court.

Prosecutors have alleged Gordon was the No. 2 man in a drug ring that carried kilos of cocaine from New Jersey to Western Pennsylvania.

Following a four-day trial in August, a Butler County jury convicted Gordon on 17 of 21 drug-related crimes he’d been charged with, including felony counts of corrupt organizations and delivery of cocaine. The jury acquitted Gordon on four charges.

Prosecutors allege Gordon made frequent trips to New Jersey to get large amounts of cocaine from his brother-in-law.
