Butler woman dies in car, truck crash

FRANKLIN TWP — An 89-year-old Butler woman was killed Tuesday after she pulled her car into the path of a borough utility truck, state police said.
Troopers from the Butler barracks say Marcella “Betty” Fallecker of Butler was killed in the crash shortly before 10 a.m. on U.S. Route 422 west of Butler.
Police say Fallecker’s car was hit by a Ford utility bucket truck owned by Grove City and driven by a 28-year-old borough employee, Chase Badger. Badger received only minor injuries, though the truck was badly damaged when he tried to avoid the crash and rolled over an embankment.
Police say a third car was hit by Fallecker’s vehicle, which spun after it was hit by the truck. The third driver wasn’t hurt.
