Shanda Dean and Bill McLay, both of Evans City, were united in marriage Aug. 18 at Betsy's Barn in Portersville. The Rev. Tom Jones officiated. A reception followed at Betsy's Barn. The bride is the daughter of Bruce and Terry Dean of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Ken and Sue McLay of Cowansville. The honor attendant was Heather Thompson. Bridesmaids included Kirsten Dean, Kristy Soler, Erica Bayne and Farrah Libecco. The flower girl was Jocelyn Dean. Performing the duties of best man was Ben McLay. Groomsmen included Chris Dean, Nico Soler, Mike Greenawalt and Joe Libecco. The ring bearer was Benjamin Dean. The bride is a 2002 graduate of Knoch High School. She is employed by United Plate Glass. The bridegroom graduated from Karns City High School in 2003 and the Pittsburgh Technical Institute in 2005 with an associate degree in information technology and network administration. He is employed by Armstrong. Following a honeymoon trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple is making their home in Evans City.
