4 dead, 7 injured after car hits bus stop in Vegas

By The Associated Press

LAS VEGAS — Police suspect a driver was drunk and speeding when his vehicle went airborne and hit a Las Vegas bus stop, killing four people and injuring at least seven others.
Las Vegas police Sgt. Richard Strader says several people were in the vehicle and had to be extricated following the 6:30 a.m. crash today.
Clark County Fire Department officials say some of those injured have life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say the driver has a collapsed lung and possibly a broken back. Emergency responders say they smelled alcohol on his breath.
