Shell tax break opposed
Why would Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett give the proposed Shell Oil Co. “cracker” plant in Beaver County a tax break for the next 25 years?
The plant would take ethane from shale gas and reduce it to ethylene, a building block for plastics.
Shell would save about $1.65 billion by way of that break.
Citizens of Alaska pay little or no state tax. Are we not as good, or do they have better representation?
Pennsylvania citizens need a tax break.
