2 boys injured when hit by SUV



SUMMIT TWP — A pair of 10-year-old boys from Butler were injured Friday afternoon when a SUV hit them as they walked along Route 356 near its intersection with Hinchberger Road.
State police have not released the names of the victims, stating only that they each were taken by medical helicopter to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries.
Ashley A. Calhoun, 27, of Butler, the SUV’s driver, was not injured and has not been charged in connection with the 3:52 p.m. accident.
Butler County Sheriff deputies, the Herman Volunteer Fire Department, and EMS personnel from Butler and East Butler also responded to the scene.
