Thursday — A Butler woman faces a criminal charge for allowing her two pit bulls to run loose — yet again.Police said at least two scared neighbors about 6:40 p.m. Sunday called to report the dogs, owned by 30-year-old Elizabeth A. Cosme, were running around Mackey Avenue.The same two dogs Jan. 16 charged after a letter carrier, who had to jump in the bed of a pickup truck to avoid being attacked, police said.This week's case is the ninth time since Christmas that officers have charged Cosme with not confining her dogs, a police report said.
3:43 p.m. Wednesday — A full-size pickup with an unknown driver sideswiped a mini school bus on Dalmagro Road in Clearfield Township. None of the 16 students from Clearfield Elementary School riding on the bus were injured. Anyone with information about the accident may call police at 724-284-8100.6:15 a.m. Tuesday — A van driven by Jeremy Johnson, 28, of Erie hit a guard rail along Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township. He was cited for a vehicle code violation.
Jan. 14 — Steven Allen Johnson, 22, of Grove City was charged with theft by deception and three counts of passing bad checks at the First National Bank in Pine Township between Jan. 11 and 14.
4:58 p.m. Thursday — A minivan driven by Guy Ambrose, 42, of Newark, Del., and a car driven by Joshua Duffee, 22, of Clark in Mercer County collided on Route 208 in Scrubgrass Township. Both drivers were treated for minor injuries at UPMC Northwest in Pittsburgh and released. Ambrose was cited for a stop sign violation.
4 p.m. Jan. 27 — A 49-year-old Licking Township man is accused of recklessly endangering another person. The man, whose name was not released by police, allegedly fired a rifle in a Route 58 residence near a 49-year-old woman.
