3 p.m. Wednesday — A 14-year-old Butler boy is accused of assaulting another boy as he walked home from school. The 14-year-old victim suffered injuries to his face, arm and hand. The suspect is charged in juvenile court with simple assault.

4:24 p.m. Thursday — John Edward Foster, 39, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car crashed into an embankment on Muddy Creek Drive in Brady Township.Thursday — Police accused Michael Calvin Johnston, 39, of Hampton, Allegheny County, of allegedly giving false information after a Sept. 11 traffic stop on Route 8 in Middlesex Township.Johnston, in addition to unsworn falsification to authorities, is charged with disorderly conduct, driving without a license, and driving with a suspended license.10:30 p.m. Wednesday — Joseph P. Kane, 47, of Parker is accused of waving a knife at another person during an altercation on Sweezy Road in Allegheny Township. Kane also struck the alleged victim, who police did not identify.Kane was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $7,500 bail.Wednesday — Two rings and about $1,000 were stolen from a Hilliards Road home in Washington Township. The theft occurred between Nov. 11 and Wednesday.Sunday — Someone vandalized a mailbox and mailbox pole between 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at an Old Route 422 East home in Summit Township.Aug. 8 — A Butler County couple allegedly stole sports chairs worth $30 from a home in Brady Hills Estates in Slippery Rock Township.The couple face hearings Dec. 29 at the district judge's office in Slippery Rock.Charles D. Schweinsberg, 26, and his girlfriend Amber R. Wallace, 28, both of Oakland Township allegedly took the items from the home of Frederick Kutsch.The suspects and alleged victim know each other, a police affidavit said.Police last week charged the couple with trespass, theft, conspiracy, receiving stolen property and public drunkenness.

Monday — An unknown thief stole a wallet and tan pants from a South Center Street apartment. The theft happened between 1 and 3 p.m.Monday — A cell phone was found in the parking lot of the Earth Sun & Moon store on North Center Street. The owner can claim the property at the police station.Monday — A bicycle was found in the 300 block of Elm Street. The owner can claim the property at the police station.8:30 p.m. Nov. 12 — Daniel E. Graham, 20, of Grove City was hurt when he crashed his motorcycle on South Center Street near Sunset Avenue. The cycle slid on the road for about 25 feet. He was treated at Grove City Medical Center for a leg injury. Police said Graham was cited for a driver's license-motorcycle permit violation.
