Not responsible for problems
In response to the statements regarding my position as assistant treasurer/secretary for Connoquenessing Township, I wish to make the following comments:
First of all, I was acting assistant treasurer/secretary and was appointed on May 1, 2008. Prior to my appointment, three others held the position.
Whatever faulty record-keeping was found in an independent audit of the township's finances for 2008 was no error on my part.
Secondly, my receipt book is on record at the township building — where it has been from the day I started. I have no knowledge of any other receipt book.
Thirdly, any and all checks were signed by the supervisors.
I did an excellent job as assistant treasurer/secretary. I will not be railroaded by Supervisor Chairwoman Evelyn Hockenberry, as she has done to others under her supervision.
In my opinion, as long as Hockenberry has a hand in the township building, it will remain a hostile work environment.
She has had full control over what transpired in the office of Connoquenessing Township, and instructions were executed upon her command.
