Monday — Police filed theft charges against Kelly R. Hart, 31, of Butler after she allegedly used a 32-year-old Butler man's bank information to make five unauthorized online transactions between Oct. 6 and 9. The transactions totaled $558.Monday — Scott E. Venersky, 33, was arrested for allegedly assaulting 47-year-old Joseph E. Leonard Jr. during a domestic dispute about 3 a.m. Thursday at their Center Avenue apartment. Venersky was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail.11:36 p.m. Friday — Three people were hurt when cars driven by Susan Albright, 38, of Prospect and Stephen Adams, 20, of Slippery Rock collided at West Jefferson and South Chestnut streets. Both drivers suffered minor injures. A 4-year-old Butler boy riding in Albright's car was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. Adams also was treated at BMH.
Wednesday — Evelyn M. Beahr, 44, of Grove City is accused of aiding five juvenile Grove City students in truancy. Police said she faces five counts of corruption of minors.
6:06 p.m. Sunday — Bobbie Binnie, 44, of Butler was hurt when a deer ran into the passenger side door of a car she was riding in on Whitestown Road near Home Avenue. The collision shattered the side window. Binnie complained of a head injury and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. Jeffery Binnie, 44, of Butler was driving the car.Sunday — Police were called to a reported home burglary in the 100 block of Victor Road that occurred earlier in the day. An undisclosed amount of money was stolen.9:56 p.m. Saturday — Joseph Duncan, 29, of Prospect is accused of domestic abuse at the Old Plank Estates apartment complex. Duncan was arraigned on charges of simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief, and placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.4:52 p.m. Saturday — Leah McGee, 19, of East Butler is accused of hit-and-run after her car rear-ended another car on Route 422 at the Moraine Pointe Plaza intersection. Police said she was found at her home a short time later. Jared Billotte, 25, of Worthington, Armstrong County, was the other driver.9 p.m. Friday — An unknown man made unwanted sexual comments to a woman employee leaving work at Sam's Club in Moraine Pointe Plaza. The man is described as white, in his 40s or 50s, and about 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He wore thick eyeglasses and drove a white, older model Oldsmobile Cutlass.2:30 p.m. Friday — Police suspect the same man tried to pass a counterfeit 20-dollar bill at a pair of fast food restaurants in the township. The man is white, in his early 20s with short, light-colored hair and a thin build.Police, meanwhile, advised that victims of counterfeit bills should keep them for authorities. If the customer wants the bill back, inform the customer that police are being notified and they can wait for officers.Friday — A home in the 100 block of Freeport Road was burglarized between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Police did not immediately release any other details of the break-in.Friday — A ninth-grade student was found with suspected marijuana and rolling papers at Butler Intermediate High School. The 14-year-old boy is charged with possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
7 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Rebecca S. Means, 32, of West Sunbury struck a deer on Route 308 about one-half mile north of Mahood Road in Clay Township.State Police, Clarion6:05 a.m. Monday — A tractor-trailer driven by Alan Reinford, 23, of Emlenton lost its load of split rail fence at Routes 368 and 58 in Licking Township. Rodney Forsythe, 34, of Callensburg swerved his car, which was behind the rig, but was unable to avoid hitting the fence. Police said Reinford was cited for not properly securing his load.
5:18 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Samuel T. Potter, 17, and Taylor C. McConnell, 16, both of Grove City collided on Irishtown Road in Pine Township.8:05 p.m. Nov. 7 — Robert Allhouse, 50, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof in Springfield Township.
