In my letter to the editor about a month ago, I stated that "state legislators" voted to pay themselves during the budget stalemate. Upon further research, I learned that not only didn't my legislator, Brian Ellis, R-11th, vote for the pay, he also did not accept the pay.

Some of our representatives care about their constituents and chose to suffer right along with them during the budget fiasco.

Ellis always has been there whenever I had an issue, and responded swiftly to my concerns.
