Shannon Banks and Michael Jahn, both of Denver, Colo., were united in marriage Aug. 22 at Betsy's Barn in Portersville. The Rev. Jim Smith officiated. A reception followed at the same location. The bride is the daughter of Rose and Terry Banks of Oil City. Parents of the bridegroom are Daniel Jahn and Jan Ellison, both of Butler. The honor attendant was Shellie Banks of Oil City. Performing the duties of best man was Rob Jahn of Butler. The bride is a 2001 graduate of Oil City High School and a 2005 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She is employed by the University of Denver. The bridegroom graduated in 2000 from Butler High School and in 2004 from Slippery Rock University. He is employed by Envirogroup in Denver. Following a honeymoon trip to Costa Rica, the couple is making their home in Denver.
