A dedication will be held on Sunday, May 19th, at 10 o’clock at their location at 1015 Evans City Road in Renfrew. Friends, family, and animal lovers are invited to gather for the unveiling of the bench and to share memories of Kristine. Refreshments will be available, for the dogs too!
Kristine Stevenson Bartman was an avid dog lover. She and her husband, Zachary, owned two miniature dachshunds, and Kristine used to daydream about adopting several dogs and owning a large plot of land for them to run free. Kristine was a police officer for the Evans City/Seven Fields Regional Office. One day while on patrol, she spotted a lost dog who looked malnourished and disheveled. Without hesitation, she brought him into her patrol car and took him to the station. When no owner could be found, she and her husband adopted him, their third “child.”
Kristine left her family and friends on July 13, 2016 at the age of 30. Her passion for life continues to impact those who knew her. Please visit the Butler County Humane Society on Sunday, May 19th, to celebrate Kristine as her legacy lives on. As Kristine would say, “I want ALL the puppies!”
