Explore the Fun of Early Learning During the Week of the Young Child

The Butler County Early Care & Education Council and lead sponsor CoventryCares will be hosting activities to celebrate the 2013 Week of the Young Child, April 14-20, for all children birth through grade school. Activities include prizes, crafts, story time and more:

Event times are as follows:

All Day
•Prizes, Crafts, Community Resources and more!
•FREE Book for every child- while supplies last!

10 am – 2 pm
•“Gear up” for school readiness while learning through play
•10 am & 12 pm “Toying with Science” by Playthings, Etc.
•10:30 am & 1 pm - Story Time
“Is this the Bus for Us? read by Peter Bess, Butler Area Public Library
•Learn about School Bus safety, Courtesy of Valley Lines
•11:30 & 12:30 pm “Roll into Preschool Tumbling” Presented by the Butler YMCA

6 – 8 pm
•6:45 pm - Story Time
“Is this the Bus for Us?” read by Peter Bess, Butler Area Public Library
•7:00 pm – Family Show “Start Your Engines!” with Carnegie Science Center
Science demonstrations transport you across land, through the air, and into space! Things really heat up when we show you how a steam engine works and demonstrate combustion!

Activities have been coordinated by the Butler County Early Care & Education Council, which is coordinated by Lifesteps.
