Drivers injured in 2-vehicle crash in Adams Twp

A Toyota Corolla is towed away after a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon at Route 228 and Mars-Valencia Road in Adams Township.

Both drivers were injured this afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at Route 228 and Mars-Valencia Road in Adams Township.

The wreck happened about 12:30 p.m. Sunday when a Ford F-150 pickup truck struck a Toyota Corolla.

A man believed to be in his 70s was driving the truck northbound on Mars-Valencia Road and turning onto Route 228 west when he hit the car that was stopped at the traffic light headed east on Route 228.

The man and the other driver, a woman who was believed to be in her 30s or 40s, suffered apparent minor injuries. A Quality Ambulance crew tended to both drivers. Both vehicles were towed.

Adams Township police are investigating but an accident report was not immediately available. The Adams Area Fire District also assisted at the scene.
