CRANBERRY TWP — The Marriott Pittsburgh North hotel on Route 228 is on the market after two ownership groups from Cincinnati, Ohio, put the property up for sale.

Holliday Fenoglio Fowler, a commercial real estate firm, is in charge of the sale. Representatives from the company’s Pittsburgh office couldn’t be reached for comment, and no sale price has been listed on the Internet.
Opened in 2003, the 295-room hotel includes amenities like a restaurant, indoor pool and fitness center.
Located near the intersection of Route 228 and Interstate 79, the hotel also includes 14,905 square feet of meeting space. It is near the Westinghouse Electric headquarters.
It’s not clear if the sale is related to the new Courtyard by Marriott hotel that opened last year directly behind the Marriott Pittsburgh North.
Both hotels are owned by the same ownership group: Winegardner & Hammons and Eagle Realty Group.
