CHAMBER names next director



WEXFORD — THE CHAMBER of Commerce has named a new executive director to replace Susan Balla when she officially steps down on Feb. 15.

Rebecca Martin will take over the post Feb. 1. Martin comes to the Chamber from Austin, Texas, where she served as senior vice president of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce for nearly the past three years, according to a business social media account in her name.
In her most recent post, her duties included economic development, advocacy and regional infrastructure, technology, education and workforce development, member recuitment and retention and business attraction, rentention and expansion.
Prior to that, she served as the president and CEO of the Ludington & Scottville Chamber of Commerce & Convention and Visitors Bureau from 2007 to 2008. She has also served as vice president, chamber division, for the ErieRegional Chamber & Growth Partnership.
The Western Pennsylvania native has also worked as the director of marketing, communications and government relations for Erie-Western PA Port Authority and served as an administrative officer in the Erie County.
