Every week, The Cranberry Eagle will spotlight a local educator, providing a glimpse into what makes them tick. QUESTION: Why did you become a teacher? ANSWER: I became a teacher to make a difference, and I know it sounds cliché, but each new school year brings new challenges and new potential successes. Fostering student success is very rewarding. QUESTION: What is one sentence that sums up what you believe is the key to teaching? ANSWER: I think it’s important to love what you do, especially as a teacher, because it is reflected in what you do every day in the classroom. QUESTION: When you’re not teaching, you most likely can be found doing what? ANSWER: I am an avid runner and can be found at the YMCA most days after school; I am also a very big digital scrapbooker. QUESTION: What is one thing about you that likely would surprise your students? ANSWER: I have a Labradoodle.
