Graham Bridge to get barriers
Traffic restricted for 6 months
CRANBERRY TWP — Graham Bridge on Powell Road will be restricted to one lane of traffic until it is replaced in six months. The Butler County commissioners on Thursday approved an agreement for the township public works department to place Jersey barriers on both sides of the bridge. Kevin Gray, county planning/bridge manager, explained a car wrecked into the side of the bridge, damaging one side. He said it’s not worth repairing the bridge because the structure will be replaced in 2013. Gray said in an interview the barriers will be placed on both sides so motorists will slow down to accommodate the alternating one-way traffic. Stop signs will be set at both ends of the bridge. County officials expect the township supervisors to approve the agreement at their next meeting.
