QUESTION: Why did you become a teacher? ANSWER: I did a summer internship during college at a day camp for special needs kids. I really enjoyed my experiences with the kids, and I wanted to work with kids on a more permanent basis. QUESTION: What is one sentence that sums up what you believe is the key to teaching? ANSWER: I think the key to teaching is finding a way to help each student make discoveries of their own. QUESTION: When you’re not teaching, you most likely can be found doing what? ANSWER: Chasing after my kids! I read a lot and love to cook when I can find the time. QUESTION: What is one thing about you that likely would surprise your students? ANSWER: They might be surprised to know that I learn as much from them as they do from me.
