Former county woman killed on train tracks

AMBRIDGE, Beaver County — A former Butler County woman was killed Sunday afternoon on train tracks in this borough in southeastern Beaver County.

Terri Lynn Kudrna, 45, of Harmony Township, Beaver County, was reportedly lying between a set of rails near Route 65, Ambridge police said.
A conductor for the northbound Norfolk Southern Railway train said he spotted the woman and sounded his horn.
However, authorities said, she did not move.
The conductor was unable to stop the train and hit the woman.
Beaver County Coroner Teri Tatalovich-Rossi later pronounced Kudrna, who lived in Butler as recently as 2010, dead at the scene.
An autopsy Monday ruled that she died of massive head injuries.
Tatalovich-Rossi could not be reached for comment.
Police said they are continuing to investigate.
